Weitere Informationen: Prof. Rettig’s research is directed towards elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying synaptic transmission in neurons, neuroendocrine cells and immune cells. His ultimate goal is to understand how communication between these cells is mediated and modulated. He is using a combination of high-resolution electrophysiological and imaging methods on defined genetic model systems.
