GESUNDHEITSCAMPUS IMMUNOLOGIE, INFEKTIOLOGIE UND INFLAMMATION

Vortrag: "Micro(RNA)management of lymphocyte development"

Sprecher: Prof. Dr. Andreas Krüger, Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, Institut für Molekulare Medizin

Wann: Donnerstag, 31. März 2016, 17:00 Uhr

Wo: Campus der Medizinischen Fakultät, Haus 10, Hörsaal Kinderklinik

Gastgeber: Prof. Dr. Daniela C. Dieterich (OvGU, Institut für Pharmakologie und Toxikologie)

Weitere Informationen: Prof. Krüger started his work at the German Cancer Research Center Heidelberg, Germany, where he investigated the molecular mechanism of T cell death during his PhD. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, he discovered his passion for the early events during the life of an emerging T cell. Between 2007 and 2015 he was an Emmy-Noether Research Group Leader and later Associate Professor for Regenerative Immunology at the Institute of Immunology and the Cluster of Excellence REBIRTH at Hannover Medical School. There he started to investigate the role of non-coding RNAs during T cell development and focused his research on spatio-temporal dynamics of pre-thymic and intra-thymic steps of T cell formation in health and disease. Since November 2015 Andreas Krüger continues his work as Associate Professor for Molecular Immunology at the Institute for Molecular Medicine in Frankfurt am Main.

Im Rahmen der gemeinsamen Seminarreihe des Sonderforschungsbereiches 854 und des Else Kröner-Forschungskollegs Magdeburg laden wir Sie herzlich zu diesem Vortrag ein.
