HEALTH CAMPUS IMMUNOLOGY, INFECTIOLOGY AND INFLAMMATION

Teaching prize awarded to the coordinator of the master's program in immunology

The current masters students in immunology, an important part of the pillar of education at the GC-I³, are happy with their choice. Exciting and varied course content and excellent advisors are positive qualities of the program that have been brought up many times. Starting in the first semester, the various departments and clinics were in close contact and the students worked with a large number of different teachers. Due to the limited number of students (a maximum of 20 per semester), direct and personal contact with the teachers is not a problem. It comes as no suprise that most of the third semester students have already found a topic for their master thesis and are excited for the last stage of their master's degree.

This special atmosphere has now been rewarded. As part of the festive graduation ceremony of the medical faculty on the 16th of December, the student council of the medical faculty awarded Prof. Dr. Dirk Reinhold the „Studierendenpreis für besonderes Engagement in der Lehre“. With this prize, the students honored his dedication to the establishment of a master's degree program in immunology, which he was integral to coordinating.  This was a great confirmation from the students that hard work pays off, that they feel at home in Magdeburg and with their choice of studies, and that they will recommend the program to others!
