Prize for best teaching in the M.Sc. Immunology awarded to Laura Knop

Once a year the students of the Medical Faculty of the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg award prizes for the lecturers with the best teaching concepts.These prizes are awarded since 2012. This year Prof. Dr. Daniela Dieterich, Dean of the Medical Faculty and the student representatives awarded them in front of an empty lecture theatre but streamed online. "These examples impressively show how good teaching can also be achieved under pandemic conditions", the dean said.

Laura Knop (Institute for Molecular and Clinical Immunology) has been awarded the prize for the best teaching in the M.Sc. course in Immunology. The young researcher includes a strong focus on practical aspects and thereby ignites a lot of interest in science and research in the master students. "She interacts on an equal footing with the students, encourages open discussions and invests a lot of time for individual feedback", according to Viet Duc Le, master student of Immunology.
